Dunn, Meghan. "Transforming Lion Killers into 'Lion Guardians'" CNN. Cable News Network, 09 Dec. 2014. Web. 09 Dec. 2014.

Leela Hazzah is a women with a passion, and a commitment to save the lions in Africa. The population of lions in Africa today in down to 30,000 from where it was a century ago at 3 million. This is due to tribal members hunting lions, not for food, but for revenge against eating their livestock. Hazzah is committed to convincing these killers into becoming guardians to these lions. She has come up with a foundation into supplying these guardians with lion trackers in order to keep up with the lion movements. She says that when she first arrived she saw no lions, now she sees them everywhere.
People all around the world can look at this story and feel invited to go out and change the world. Though this victory is small in the eyes of say cancer or world hunger, if everyone looked at helping the world out the same way Leela Hazzah did the world would be a better place.

"NFL Player's Ferguson Essay Goes Viral." CNN. Cable News Network, 27 Nov. 2014. Web. 04 Dec. 2014.

The New Orleans Saints’ tight end (Ben Watson) wrote an emotional post on Facebook about how this Ferguson debacle has both “embraced” and “saddened” him. Watson has received major positive feedback from everyone who has seen this post. It has also received over 650000 likes. People that read his text about this very unstable subject can relate to all the points that he makes and enjoy that someone with so much attention can speak out about such a dangerous subject.

This will affect other people in the world by showing them that a simple post on Facebook or any social media website can affect people all over the country.

On the road to a Comeback!

The fourth week has come to a close, and the Saints record stands and a less than impressive 1-3. It was a huge shock to all who-dat fans that our Saints were down 24-0 at HALFTIME!!! The question still remains though, who is to blame for this terrible start. Rob Ryan was a defensive mastermind last year as the Saints D finished top 10 in every category, but this year we’re not in the top 20… what scares me is watching the game Sunday night; I saw the Cowboys blow the Saints off the ball giving D. Murray huge holes to run threw, and the defensive secondary gave up 3 passing TDs! But this loss was not only on the Defense.

The offensive started off the game slow in the first half not scoring a single point, and Drew Brees gave up the ball through the air (he had 2 TDs on the day). In the first half the offensive was moving the ball down the field, but due to turnovers and a missed field goal there were many opportunities missed. The Saints won the second half but had dug themselves too big a hole in the first that they picked up the L making it 3 so far on the year with just one win…

Next week is a good opportunity for the Saints to get a win VS a weak Bucs team! The game will be played in the Superdome and you can guarantee that it will be loud! The Saints were undefeated at home last year and so far this year that mark still stands. Have hope that this team will make a turnaround, and push to winning their division!
I was begging to give up on my Saints about two weeks ago, but due to this late turn around at which they are now 4-4 I am back on the ban-wagon. The Saints offence has been clicking in its last three contest and its defense has held up well too! Drew Brees has limited his turnovers and everything is falling into place!  On Thursday night the Saints faced a Tough Panthers team and took them to the shredder with a 28-10 win. The Saints completely embarrassed their last two opponents which were Green bay and the Panthers at home. I don’t know what the trainers are putting in the water, but they better keep doing it.

Jimmy Graham was back on Thursday night laboring that hurt shoulder and he was fantastic ringing up a touchdown and a couple yards to go along with it. The Saints are overall a better team than they were three weeks ago and I know everyone down on Bourbon street loves to hear that. #WHODATNATION

This past Sunday the Saints came marching through and over the Vikings, as they marched to victory 20-9! This marked the first win for the Who-dat nation on a road to the Super bowl. There was much celebration in the French Quarter and around the country knowing that the Golden Boys had a win on the board. The defense played like they wanted to win and the offense came to play, but still they have room to grow!

Jimmy Graham caught 6 passes on 8 targets and had 54 yards on the day. He caught no TD passes but as long as Brees keeps feeding Graham the Saints offense will be too strong to overcome! The main receiver for the Saints in this game is rookie Branden Cooks. He caught 8 passes for 74 yards. This young receiver is a huge part of this offense already so early in the season (ESPN)!

The Saints have momentum to carry into next weeks match up vs the cowboys on Sunday night! This game will be played at Cowboys stadium in a primetime setting, and expect to see the Saints prove that there the best team in the region and in the league even with their two losses (ESPN)!

Another week another loss for the less than satisfactory Saints… Their record now stands at a disappointing 0-2. The Saints took the “L” from a team with a week offence and a sorry defense, but who is to blame for this bad start? Saints fans are pointing their fingers at the defense blaming them for this rough start, but the defense gave up less yardage than the opposing team’s defense, so this loss couldn’t be placed on the D. The real reason is the turnovers. Drew Brees has thrown 3 ints in the last two games and his last one went for a TD that gave the Browns enough points to outscore the Saints.

Look to see the Saints firing on all cylinders this up-coming Sunday! The game will be held at the Super Dome, and they are playing an injured Vikings team with Adrian Peterson out with Family complications. This week will be the turn around for the Saints season!

A Heartbreaker...

Sunday was the season debut of the NFL. The Saints faced the Falcons in a one O’clock game at the Georgia Dome. The Saints started off hot and were rolling the Dirty Birds, but right before the half, Matt Ryan went down the Field in twenty two seconds and set up a Matt Bryant fifty yard field goal. That made it 20-10 Saints were up at the half. The second half the Falcons exploded right out the gate and drove down the field and Matt Ryan hit L. Toilolo for a one yard touchdown. That made it 20-17, Saints still with the lead. The Saints went three and out and were forced to punt back to the Hot Falcons. Atlanta was feeling the momentum but who dat nation stood behind them and forced a three and out. The Saints get the ball back and drove down the field into the Red-zone, but a poor choice by Drew Brees sent the ball right into the arms of Atlanta CB R. McClain.

The next drive for the falcons Matt Ryan hit A. Smith with a short screen route, and due to poor tackling by the saints he scored a fifty-four yard touchdown (ESPN). The Saints started the quarter by going eighty yards and finishing it with a three yard run by M. Ingram for a touchdown that made the score 27:24 Saints on top! Two drives later the Falcons drove the length of the field and scored a seventeen yard run by J.Rodgers. the Saints were not going to let this game get away from them though, so they drove another eighty yard drive, and Mark Ingram punched it in from three yards away 34-31 Saints back on top!  With a minute and twenty seconds Matt Ryan lead his team down the field and set up a fifty yard Matt Bryant field goal, this sent the game into OT with the score 34-34 (ESPN)! The saints got the ball first and Brees threw it to Marques Colston for a 10 yard gain, but he fumbled it and gave it to the falcons. Then it was too easy for Mat Bryant, he hit the fifty yarder and won the game for the dirty birds…

The saints will bounce back after this division rival loss! The saints are too good to lose a lot of games in a season. I expect Drew Brees to find Jimmy Graham on more targets and feed him more in the redzone! Expect to see a turn around for this slow start.

If you want to find out more information about this game, leave a comment I will get back to you as fast as I can.

Calling all WHO-DAT FANS!

Picture

The New Orleans Saints offense has always been good since Drew Brees came to town in 2006, but what people don’t know is that with Bob Ryan’s new defense ,the Saints are title contenders this year. This off season the saints drafted a first round receiver out of Oregon state to contribute to Drew Brees versatile weapons. In the second round they took a safety from Nebraska thats a lights out hitter and will be an excellent addition to a already good Saints defense.

In the NFC south the Saints are the favorite, but don’t think that the other teams in that region are poop. The Falcons have Julio Jones back and added a future all star Left Tackle (Jake Mathews) from Texas A&M. Next we have the panthers, who won the Division last year with cam Newton leading the charge, but cam has been going through injury problems and they lost Steve Smith to free agency so there offence might look a step slow from last year but count on that defense being in tip top shape. Finally we have the Bucs. The Bucs have been bad for a long time due to bad coaching, lack of talent, and a poor fan base, but now they have a new coach in Lovie smith, new Quarterback in Josh Mccoun, and an all star defense. Do not sleep on the Bucs.

Picture
In week 2 the Saints face the Browns. Other than the Jim Brown era, the Browns have lived up to their team name, so I have no worries about the result of this game. The browns went out and got 2 first rounders this offseason but that will not be enough to stop this high powered Saints team. Jonny Manziel and Brian Hoyer are still fighting it out for the starting QB job and frankly it looks like whats the best of a bad scenario. The browns lost Josh Gordan this offseason for the year because he likes to get higher than a kite. This will be an easy win for the Saints!

The overall better team is the Saints though and ill tell you why. The Saints have a QB that has thrown for more yards in the last five years than any other QB in the National Football League. they have a back field that has been waiting to get noticed and this will be there year, they have a receiving core that is like no other with Marques Colston, Jimmy Graham, and rookie star Brandon Cooks. they have a defence lead by pro bowlers cam Jordan, and Curtis Lofton. This is the year for Who Dat Nation. Repeat from 2009!
